Welcome back. I do hope that you have recharged your drinking vessels and got a tissue at the ready for the second part of my summer blog.
About the same time as my rejections were coming through from the obviously more dog friendly broadcasters and streaming services I started to feel a little under the weather. I couldn't understand why at all.
Many of you who follow my very important contributions to the world of blogging will know that I am a bit of a fan of eating. Even though my stoopid hoomans feed me properly and timely every day I do like to experiment with my palate by rummaging through bins in my territory. This has never been a problem before, to me at least. This time it was different though, I wasn't sure if I had maybe taken a risk too far and it had caused some issues with my poor tummy.
The thing that amazed me was that now my hoomans were not around as much, they couldn't see my steady decline in health. I admit though that I did not help the fact by still eating my allotted meals throughout the day with the same gay abandon as I did before.
By the early weeks of August I was being physically unwell and whilst they were concerned about me the hoomans were not helping me return to my proper health. Eventually after a particularly "productive" night they decided to shove me in the stripy box of doom and cart of me off to see the man in the white coat that likes to stick things in me. He told them that THEY HAD POISONED ME!! Yes, can you believe it, they were trying to kill me. The most important person in my life was having attempts taken on his life.
It turns out that whilst it seems they were maliciously trying get me pushing up daisies it wasn't actually their fault. There had been a problem with getting food into shops for some reason and the food I normally enjoy was not available so they had to think on their feet and got a different one for me. The packaging was the same and the quality was just as good but it turns out I'm allergic to something in the food and that is what was making me proper poorly. The man in the white coat said that it wasn't uncommon but it can take a few weeks for the effects to properly show and for them to go away as well.
My dear reader, I admit I was quick to blame my hoomans for the poisoning incident but it turns out that it wasn't intentional, they just had my best interests at heart. After this they quickly put me back on the food I know and love and after a couple of days I was restored to the epic handsome chap that you have come to know and love.
That kind of brings us up to date really. Stephen Graham has still to get back to me about getting our project off the ground, I suspect that they are so in awe of our work of genius that they are trying to find the courage to contact me to get the ball rolling!
Other Stuff
I have been asked to let you all know that the hoomans have been working hard on their social media presence and that they can now be found on TikTok as well as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Youtube. Be sure to go along and join the fun. This is where the newest stuff is showcased and sometimes some silly stuff just to while away the hours.
The local delivery, click and collect and mail order is still available from the webshop. There have been issues with the town centre post office so the hoomans are having to use a satellite post office in their village, this is sadly causing a slight delay on delivery. This being the case they are upgrading delivery up to 1st Class at no extra cost until the issues are resolved at the main post office.
